Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist clients.
  • Manage the reception area and keep it tidy.
  • Answer, screen, and forward phone calls.
  • Book meetings and arrange couriers.
  • Sort and distribute mail.
  • Maintain stock of refreshments and stationery.
  • Man the front desk.
  • Manage deliveries and ensure correct distribution.
  • Assist with departmental functions (teas, lunches, etc.).
  • Perform administrative tasks: filing, photocopying, emailing, faxing, transcribing.
  • Assist staff without computer access with leave applications.
  • Participate in departmental activities.
  • Receive and record deliveries; notify recipients.
  • Verify invoices and forward them for internal finance processing.
  • File and manage documents for accreditation and GLP/SANAS audits.


Inherent Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) – attach copy
  • Experience as a receptionist

Recommendations (Advantageous)

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Office Administration, Hospitality Management, or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Fluent in at least three official languages (excluding English)
  • Five years’ receptionist experience
  • Experience working in a higher education environment

Salary

R231 699.90 – R388 426.59 per annum, including benefits (dependent on budget, qualifications, and experience).
