Our UK-based client is a specialist provider of MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) and rope-access solutions, founded by a team of experienced business owners with over a decade of industry expertise. Their work is rooted in delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused services, ensuring every project is carried out with a strong commitment to service, safety, and satisfaction.
They are now looking for an Admin Assistant to support the business owner with day-to-day administrative tasks across multiple business areas. You’ll help ensure operations run smoothly by managing inboxes, updating CRM records, supporting bookings, and handling basic client communication via email and phone.
This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage multiple email inboxes, prioritising messages and responding to routine enquiries.
- Update and maintain CRM records including bookings, client details, and task progress.
- Answer VoIP calls, handle basic client queries, transfer calls, and take clear, accurate messages.
- Provide general administrative support to the business owner across several service-based operations.
- Maintain organised digital files and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Follow structured checklists and procedures to complete tasks efficiently and correctly.
- Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Carry out additional ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in administration, office support, or customer service.
- Comfortable using email, online systems, and basic office software; CRM experience is a bonus (training available).
- Excellent written and spoken English with a professional telephone manner.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Able to follow clear procedures while using initiative when appropriate.
- Hard-working, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable, fast internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
- Access to a suitable laptop and phone to perform daily responsibilities.
- A matric or equivalent school-leaving certificate is beneficial but not essential.
