About the Role
Sales Assistant (Johannesburg-based)
We are looking for a motivated and experienced sales assistant to join our team at Now Media. As a sales assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our sales team in generating leads and assisting with all administrative tasks, with a long-term view of developing into a new business sales role.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the sales team in generating leads and identifying potential clients
- Assisting with all administrative tasks
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings, following up on action items
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions
- Collaborating with other departments to support sales efforts
- Be the backup to the advertising coordinators
- Assist the Sales Director with tasks as and when required
Requirements:
- An aptitude for and a desire to be in new business sales
- Proven experience as a sales assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of CRM systems and practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Own car and a valid driving licence – or a plan to acquire these
- Matric essential
