Job Purpose
To provide generic administrative and clerical support within various Human Resource functions.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (No experience required)
- Knowledge of:
- HR clerical duties in Recruitment & Selection, PILIR, Service Benefits
- Training & Development
- Performance Management & Development
- Records and document control, filing, data capturing
- HR administrative procedures, norms and standards
- Public Service Act & Regulations and related prescripts
- Skills Development Act, BCEA, Employment Equity Act
- Batho Pele Principles and the Constitution of South Africa
- Skills:
- Computer literacy (MS Suite)
- Basic calculations
- Communication (verbal & written)
- Multi-tasking
- Interpersonal relations and customer service
- Added Advantage:
- Grade 12 with 2–5 years’ HR experience
- Three-year Diploma/Degree in HRM, Public Administration, Public Management, Industrial Psychology or Business Administration
- PERSAL certificate or experience
- Generic Human Resource Management knowledge
Duties
- Provide HR administrative support in:
- Conditions of Service: leave, PILIR, medical aid, IOD, long service recognition, overtime, terminations, ESS & SAP capturing
- Recruitment & Selection: adverts, appointments (OSD & Non-OSD), transfers, verification of qualifications, reference checks, probation, interview secretariat duties
- Performance Management & Development: capturing performance agreements and assessments on PERSAL, audits, training coordination, sabbatical leave
- Assist with PILIR processes
- Records Management: personnel files, filing systems, HR archives, scanning, indexing and safekeeping of records
