Job Summary

Rand Water is looking for a Driver to ensure the safe transportation of staff and equipment to various destinations and to maintain vehicles in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
  • 3 years of relevant driving experience
  • Valid Code EB driver’s licence with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test
  • Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)

Primary Duties

  • Transport staff and equipment safely to designated destinations.
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition.
  • Conduct daily and scheduled vehicle inspections.
  • Investigate and report vehicle faults promptly.
  • Plan and coordinate transport tasks to ensure vehicle availability.
  • Complete transport schedules in the Mechanical Section.
  • Handle petty cash safely and responsibly.
  • Respond to customer transport requests in a timely manner.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
  • Knowledge of road traffic rules and regulations.
