Minimum Required Qualification:

  • Grade 12

The Appointee should:

  • At least 1 years’ experience in a Mining environment?
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
  • Clear security screening record
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieves quality and quantity outputs through the utilization of Health and Safety procedures by effective planning, adhering to time frames.
  • Supervises subordinates by providing on-the-job-training, issuing instructions and following up on a regular basis to ensure consistency.
  • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/ her work
  • Performs various administrative functions e.g. compiling and processing reports, maintenance of data bases for statistical information, filing and general typing and processing
  • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment. • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management: 
  • Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department. Quality Management System (QMS): Maintain department’s documents. • Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System
