Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Services
- Provide professional first-line support to clients and sales teams
- Adhere to client service procedures for maturities, policy contracts, loan applications, cancellations, amendments, financial and general enquiries
- Update client personal details and AIMS notes
- Provide accurate advice to clients on products and services (TCF)
- Inform clients of changes to their policies (TCF)
- Liaise with relevant departments to gather information to resolve client queries
- Maintain required business retention rates
- Handle complaints and enquiries, escalating to the Office Manager and Complaints Handling Officer as needed

2. Claims Administration
- Verify claims documents according to standard procedures
- Assist clients with completing claim forms
- Submit claims to Head Office and follow up on outstanding documentation
- Keep claims registers up to date
3. Cancellations and Policy Administration
- Advise clients on the process and disadvantages of cancellation
- Retain policies by proposing alternative options (loans, partial surrender, paid-up)
- Inform the Sales Manager of intended cancellations for retention purposes
- Follow standard cancellation procedures as required
4. Demutualization Process
- Capture client information
- Inform clients of the status of their shares
- Update client information on AIMS systems
- Register and forward documentation to Head Office
1. Office Administration
- Manage mail and fax
- Prepare statistical reports
- Assist with data capturing as required
- Encourage clients to complete surveys
2. Fit and Proper Requirements
- Adhere to and comply with FSB board notices in terms of FAIS
3. Documentation and Filing Procedures
- Keep record systems up to date
- File and maintain documentation for the required period as per legislation
Requirements
- Matric
- Recognised qualification as per the FSCA (Advantage)
- RE 5
- Registration as an Employee Representative (FSCA)
- CPD
- COB (depending on DOFA)
- 2 years’ experience in the insurance industry
- 1 year of client services experience
- 1 year of experience in Category A, B, C, and retail benefits (Advantage)
