Job Overview

The Government is recruiting Client Service Officers to join its financial services and public administration units across several Labour Centres. These positions are best suited for individuals looking to launch or grow a career in the public sector with a focus on financial management, benefits administration, and service delivery to the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and collect outstanding overpayment balances.
  • Maintain manual and electronic records of debtor accounts.
  • Monitor payments of benefits to ensure compliance with the Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA) and Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act (UICA).
  • Apply financial principles and public sector regulations, including GRAP, GAAP, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate

Experience:

  • 0 to 6 months in a related financial or administrative field

Knowledge of:

  • UIA and UICA
  • GRAP and GAAP
  • PFMA and Treasury Regulations
  • Financial systems and departmental procedures

Skills:

  • Financial management
  • Communication (verbal and written)
  • Computer literacy

  • Analytical and numerical reasoning
  • Interpersonal skills
