Our client is an events agency offering full event production, event logistics, licensing, hospitality, conceptualization and destination management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Driving Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain a Code 10 vehicle.
  • Transport event equipment, materials, and personnel to and from event locations.
  • Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks.

Event Setup and Breakdown

  • Assist in the setup of event equipment, including stages, booths, tents, lighting, and sound systems.
  • Help arrange and place event signage, banners, and decorations.
  • Assemble and disassemble event infrastructure as needed.
  • Load and unload equipment from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care.
  • Organize and store event materials and equipment neatly during and after the event.
  • Coordinate with event organizers and team members to ensure smooth setup and breakdown processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized event area.

Safety and Security

  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols during setup and breakdown to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Secure equipment and materials during transportation to prevent damage or loss.
  • Be vigilant and report any security concerns or incidents during events.

Customer Service

  • Interact professionally and courteously with event organizers, clients, and attendees.
  • Be prepared to answer questions or provide assistance when needed.

Time Management

  • Ensure timely arrival at event locations for setup and breakdown.
  • Efficiently manage time to complete tasks within deadlines.

Communication

  • Maintain open and clear communication with event organizers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Report any issues or delays promptly.

Physical Requirements

  • Be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment and materials.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

Adaptability

  • Be flexible and ready to adapt to changing schedules or last-minute requests during events.

Equipment Care

  • Care for and maintain event equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or damage.

Documentation

  • Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Keep track of event setup and breakdown schedules and activities.

License and Regulations

  • Ensure compliance with all driving license requirements and regulations specific to Code 10 vehicles.
  • Must have a valid Code 10 Driver’s License.

Teamwork

  • Collaborate effectively with other crew members to achieve common goals.
  • Provide support to colleagues when needed.

Problem Solving

  • Be resourceful and find solutions to unexpected challenges that may arise during events.

Cleanliness

  • Keep the vehicle and equipment clean and presentable.

Professionalism

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times when representing the company or event.

HOURS OF WORK

Mondays to Fridays – 8am till 5pm

You must be available to work on occasional weekends when there’s an event.
