Minimum Required Qualification:

  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults).
  • Professional Registration with the South African Nursing Council.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or in a data administrative environment.

The Appointee should:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Power Point).
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
  • Clear security screening record.

Advantageous Qualifications:

  • ICD 10 coding qualification would be advantageous.
  • Additional qualification in data processing /data management/analytics and or data science related would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing presentations for HSE and Departmental Meetings.
  • Resolving of data related queries and interrogation of data.
  • Identifies gaps in the data sets and implements the data gathering plan in filling the data gaps.
  • Ensures that data is maintained and updated on a daily basis and retrieves stored information using relevant supporting software and related equipment.
  • Designs and updates databases, applying additional knowledge of specific feature representations.
  • Operates and maintains system hardware, software, moves, copies, deletes, and adds files, to output reports in hard copy or electronic transfer.
  • Performs weekly reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Ensures that captured data is correct by conducting basic statistical checks on collated data.
  • Prepares the daily, weekly, monthly reports.
  • Responsible to ensure accurate processes are in place to assure quality data inputs.
  • Identifying challenges experienced in the process of data creation, input, and acquisition.
  • Collating data feedback from stakeholders for quality improvement.
  • Collating of data inputs for capturing on Health Source systems for Line Management, Statutory and Industry reporting.
  • Export reports.
  • Extraction of data for Ad Hoc Reports.
  • Confidential management of Personal information for data subjects.
