Job Summary:
To provide advice and support in the operational management of deceased estates and maintain strong stakeholder relationships by executing tasks in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report deceased estates to the Master of the High Court
- Place statutory advertisements and gather required stakeholder information
- Draft liquidation and distribution accounts and reconciliation statements
- Lodge accounts with the Master of the High Court
- Manage property transfers through Absa panel attorneys
- Finalize tax matters by submitting outstanding returns to SARS
- Ensure progress updates to clients monthly
- Achieve production targets and maintain service excellence
- Build stakeholder relationships (valuators, attorneys, SARS, Master of the High Court, etc.)
- Ensure legal compliance with the Estate Administration Act
Education and Experience Requirements:
- National Diploma in Estate and Trust / Deceased Estate Administration (Law Society of SA) or NQF Level 5+
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in deceased estate administration
- Solid knowledge of:
- Administration of Estates Act
- Intestate Succession Act
- Wills Act
- Estate Duty Act (basic)
- Income Tax Act (basic)
- Financial Statements (basic)

- Strong legal and regulatory knowledge

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
