1. Assistant Director: Cashier Counter

Requirements:

  • NQF Level 6/7 in Transport Management / Public Management / Administration Management
  • 3–5 years’ experience in public transport licensing or transport-related fields
  • Knowledge of:
    • GPG and GPDRT policies, SLAs, PFMA, NLTA and related regulations
    • GPG political and executive structures
  • Skills in:
    • Customer relations
    • Stakeholder and financial management
    • Business performance
    • Computer literacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage receipt and processing of payments (cheques, electronic)
  • Issue and reconcile licensing receipts and transactions
  • Safeguard all payments and ensure proper recordkeeping
  • Reconcile daily balances and speed point batch reports
  • Assist applicants with fee-related queries
  • Identify and report revenue collection irregularities
  • Ensure compliance with PFMA
  • Prepare weekly/monthly revenue reports
  • Supervise personnel within the cashier stream

2. Admin Officer: Issuing and Collections Counter

Requirements:

  • NQF Level 6/7 in Public Administration / Administration Management / Transport Management
  • 1–2 years’ experience in the public transport environment

    • SLAs, GPG political and executive structures
  • Skills in:
    • Customer management, communication
    • Innovation, problem-solving, negotiation
    • Analytical thinking and diversity awareness

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify completeness and correctness of applications
  • Check applicant data and validate documents
  • Track processed applications and print licenses
  • Log calls with NLTIS (for Minibus Taxi applications)
  • Submit verified applications for final approval
  • Record issued licenses and manage collections
  • Communicate with applicants via SMS
  • Maintain proper recordkeeping of issued documents
  • Distribute Face Value documents and conduct stock-taking
  • Manage unit HR and compile reports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain grounds and premises
  • Provide routine gardening services (watering, pruning, mowing, weeding)
  • Apply insecticides, cultivate soil, and monitor tools
  • Detect and report equipment malfunctions
  • Perform minor tool repairs
