Job Overview
The main purpose of this position is to render hospitality, food, and beverage services within the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) during functions and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, clear, and prepare meeting rooms, work cafés, boardrooms, and function venues
- Serve food and refreshments in adherence to food safety standards
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety in work areas
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and OHS&E standards
- Apply courtesy in interactions with clients, visitors, and colleagues
- Record shortages or breakages of cutlery and crockery
- Handle lost and found items in line with SARB processes
- Proactively identify and address service gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Work independently and resolve issues on-site
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF4) or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a hospitality-related environment
- Advantageous: Prior experience in the hospitality industry
