We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an HR Clerk at our new Tongaat Distribution Centre, opening in July 2025. In this role, you will assist the HR Officer and Recruitment Officer with daily tasks related to time & attendance, payroll, HR liaison, and recruitment. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of HR functions within the new distribution centre, while supporting our broader business processes.Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 12, with a Higher Certificate, Diploma or Degree in HR (preferred).
Experience: Previous experience in HR, recruitment, or payroll is beneficial but not essential.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PRP systems, and general HR processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Duties and Responsibilities
- Time & Attendance: Ensure accurate recording of attendance, leave, overtime, and clocking reports. Assist with maintenance of clocking machines and address any issues.
- Payroll/HR Liaison: Act as a liaison between the distribution centre and head office, ensuring timely submission of payroll inputs such as new engagements, terminations, unpaids, transfers, and more.
- Recruitment: Support HR in maintaining staff structures, sourcing replacements for terminations and absenteeism, and assisting with the recruitment process.
- Ensure employee files are up to date and assist with various HR-related queries.
