Little Buckingham Nursery School is seeking a qualified candidate to join us as a
Nursery School Class Teacher
Start date: 1 May 2024
At Little Buckingham Nursery School, we aim to support the development of confident, happy, independent, resilient children capable of succeeding in the 21st Century. Little Buckingham provides an experiential learning journey for all Little Learners. It is where learning is brought to life in a safe and happy play-based environment. We offer our Little Learners the opportunity for sensory based learning that taps into the ELDA and the NCF development guidelines.
Qualifications:
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree and / or qualification in the field of Early Childhood Education
- SACE Registration
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in the same or similar position.
Key Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage appropriately with learners, parents, staff and management
- Work as a team player
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills
- Computer literate
- Registered with SACE
Key Duties:
- Responsibility for all duties as required of a Grade Nursery School Class Teacher
- Incorporating the school’s values into daily teaching
- Preparation of lessons and teaching aids appropriate to the curriculum, the children’s stage of development and learning
- Treat each child with dignity and respect
- Work as a respectful and cooperative member of a team of professionals
- Attending all staff meetings, parent meetings and orientations
- The continuous observation and assessment of each learner’s development and progress and writing of reports in accordance with school policy
- Conducting parent feedback meetings with the parents of all learners in the class
- Participation in school events, training and functions
