Minimum Required Qualification:

• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent) National Drivers License with PDP 3-5 year’s driving experience

The Appointee should:

• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent)
• Dover Testing
• National Drivers License with PDP
• Manitou Operator’s certificate of competence.
• LDV Operator’s certificate of competence.
• 3-5 year’s driving experience
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery & Transportation • Operate trucks in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage of loss of life. • Ensure that the load is safe before departure. • Take responsibility for the stock in transit. • Adhere to general mine and traffic rules and regulations. • Responsible for own Health and Safety and others. • Deliver or collect material to and from clients. • Ensure material is secured properly compliant with safety requirements. • Ensure even weight distribution and not overloading of trucks. • Ensure timeous delivery of material. • Perform loading of material. • Check accuracy of load according to documentation. • Utilise Truck Crane when required.
• Vehicle Management • Ensure safekeeping of company assets (vehicle and stock). • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks. • Ensure that the vehicle is always in a good running condition. • Ensure to follow-up all defaults on the vehicle with the supervisor responsible. • Ensure clean and serviced trucks as required. • Ensure trucks and equipment are safely and securely stored. Page 2 of 4 • Report to supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs. • Perform checks on vehicle as per checklist. • Conduct visual inspection of all lifting equipment and ensure to only use lifting equipment that is inspected by the appointed Rigger (where applicable). • Report any incidents to supervisor.
• Administration • Maintain daily records of all deliveries and collections (ensure all paperwork is completed by the clients and handed to your supervisor). • Maintain accurate logbooks. • Ensure accurate administration of loading documentation.

• Stakeholder Relations • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and crossfunctionally. • Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
• Building a values-based organisational culture • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
• ESG Compliance • Align to international responsible mining principles. • SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs). • SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative. • US PGM Operations: Enhance together for ICCM principles.
• SHE Compliance • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment. • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks. • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management: • Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department. • Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division. Quality Management System (QMS): • Approve department’s documents. • Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System.
