About the Learnership

Diesel Mechanic

  • Boilermaker Plater
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Fitting and Machining

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Qualification:

  • Grade 12 / Standard 10 / NQF Level 4 equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of N2 with four (4) complete subjects or NCV Level 4 with subjects directly relevant to the chosen engineering trade.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a knowledge assessment and psychometric assessment.
  • Must attend a formal interview as part of the selection process.
  • Must obtain a valid medical fitness certificate (Red Ticket) and complete Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS) as per industry standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

As a learner in this program, you will:

  • Receive structured training and guidance to become a qualified artisan in your chosen discipline.
  • Work closely with skilled artisans and technicians, assisting in daily tasks such as maintenance, repairs, and installations of engineering systems.
