Job Description

  • Support day to day SHE operations, including implementation of SHE standards, PPE control, and weekly reporting.
    • Assist with safety file updates, audit preparation, and documentation accuracy.

Required outputs: functional:

  • Assist with maintaining and improving the SHE management system and enabling the implementation of the SHE Strategy.
  • Provide input to ensuring that the Group SHE Strategy and risk management are integrated and aligned with the business direction.
  • Provide input to setting, monitoring and auditing of SHE performance requirements.
  • Provide support in maintaining and improving SHE processes to effectively establish, monitor and maintain them at operational and functional levels.
  • Assist with monitoring the business SHE milestones, targets and plans to provide regular reporting to management.
  • Support employees in implementing the SHE strategy, Fundamentals and Framework and continuously improving the SHE management system.
  • Support the SHE practitioner in determining the minimum SHE is training requirements per job profile where it is required to be standardised across the Group”
  • Assist with risk assessments and annual risk reviews.
  • Assist with incident investigations.
  • Assist in managing the business SHE risks profile database.
  • Assist with sharing incident investigation learnings across teams

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum education Grade 12
  • Experience in a Chemical Operating environment.
  • Previous experience in investigation and root cause analysis advantageous.
  • SHE Systems – Implementation and Evaluation
  • Data management and interpretation
  • Possess excellent communication (verbal and written), engagement, inter-personal, planning, organizing, interpretation, decision making, presentation and report writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of Q-docs and Syspro Must possess knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Must be computer literate MS office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Outlook)
