Minimum skills and experience:

  • Proven track record and a minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in Cash & Carry, Wholesale, and informal trading is non-negotiable.
  • Background in door-to-door sales with a track record of success
  • Intermediate level proficiency in IT software for order management and reporting
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with rural market dynamics.
  • Minimum Matric qualification.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel extensively across all townships in the coastal regions

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Territory Coverage: Travel into rural areas (townships) in Gauteng/Polokwane to engage with multi-national informal independent retailers and spaza shops.
  2. Cold-Calling: Utilise your excellent communication skills to effectively cold-call and build relationships with potential clients.
  3. Door-to-Door Selling: Leverage your door-to-door sales experience to promote and sell our high-quality grocery staples baskets.
  4. Sales Management: Implement and manage call cycles to maximise sales opportunities and build long-term customer relationships.
  5. Retail Expertise: Proven sales experience in Cash & Carry, Wholesale, multi-national informal independent retailers and spaza shops.
