Purpose of the Job:

The Junior Software Developers will operate under supervision to design, develop, customize, test, release, maintain, and enhance integrated applications. This pivotal role is aligned with ICT standards and the government’s enterprise architecture, aiming to deliver high-quality solutions and products for improved service delivery.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Design and Development:

• Under supervision, design and develop integrated Technical Service Specifications for single or multiple software. Accelerating Technological Excellence
• Develop or customize software, managing the full life cycle of the solution to ensure standardization and delivery of high-quality solutions.

Code Reviews:

• Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
• Software Solutions Coordination:
• Under supervision, coordinate the implementation of software IT solutions to meet service delivery commitments and ensure compliance with specifications and standards. 

Maintenance:

• Maintain integrated IT software components systems once they are up and running, ensuring ongoing efficiency and reliability.

Minimum Requirement:

• Grade 12

Relevant Experience:

• software development field, encompassing systems development, implementation, and maintenance/enhancements within the corporate/public sector organization.
• Experience in software development and data management.

Technical Competencies Description:

Computer Science Fundamentals:

• Solid understanding of computer science, including data structures, operating systems, and databases.
• Knowledge of different role players in the software development landscape.

Business and Functional Requirements:

• Understand and interpret business and functional requirements artifacts.

Design and Development:

• Working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of software requirements specifications, models, and designs.
• Working knowledge of programming languages and integrated development tools for translating software designs into applications.

Software Testing:

• Working knowledge of software testing techniques and tools.

Technical Experience:

• Application Development Language: Oracle Apex version 19 or higher and PLSQL.

Database Management Syste

•  Oracle 11g or higher.

Interfacing and Integration

• MQ Series and XML.

Development Methodologies

• Agile, SUMMIT.
• Quality Management, Software Testing, Packaging, and Release.

Technical Competencies:

• Application Development.
• Database Administration.

Interpersonal/Behavioural Competencies:
