About the South African Board for Sheriffs (SABFS)
The South African Board for Sheriffs (SABFS) is the regulatory authority responsible for enhancing the status, improving the training, and overseeing the functions of sheriffs across the country to promote access to justice.
We are seeking to appoint a service-oriented, progressive, and results-driven individual to join our team on a 6-month contract basis.
Purpose of the Position
To register, evaluate, and investigate complaints received by the SABFS within set timeframes, and ensure effective administrative handling of all complaint-related matters.

- Register, process, and resolve or escalate complaints
- Attend to all administrative duties related to complaints
- Ensure accurate data capturing and processing

- Sound understanding and interpretation of relevant legislation

- High-level administrative proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred: Relevant Legal Degree (LLB)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a legal environment, specifically dealing with civil (litigation) processes
- Knowledge of the Sheriffs Act, relevant regulations, and the Code of Conduct for Sheriffs
