Purpose of the Job

A vacancy exists for a Stock Administrator at our Commercial Cold Storage facility in Brackenfell. This is a non-office-based role. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of stock administration processes within the Meat Market Division.

Key Responsibilities

General Administration:

  • Maintain stock sheet reports and average weight checks.
  • Investigate weekly stock-related claims.
  • Track slow-moving items with high volume.
  • Create delivery notes using Excel.

Receiving:

  • Receive stock accurately (GRVs must reflect cartons and weight).
  • Match delivery note details (product and quantity) to Cold Store GRVs.
  • Submit invoices and proof of delivery for payment processing.
  • Assist Creditors with receiving documentation.
  • Monitor GRV hit rate.
  • Generate expiry date reports.
  • Book delivery slots with cold store and suppliers.

Issuing of Stock:

  • Review and correct any delivery note discrepancies.
  • Assist with emergency order planning.
  • Conduct random delivery note checks to verify correct weights and pricing.
  • Upload and manage weekly pricing data for stores.

Stock Balancing & Control:

  • Perform weekly reconciliations between goods received and stock issued.
  • Maintain weekly stock sheets.
  • Monitor pallet utilization and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Ensure stock booked out matches release data.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Essential: Grade 12
  • Advantageous: Relevant courses or certifications

Experience (Minimum 5 Years):

  • Stock administration
  • Microsoft Office and Excel (strong skills required)
  • Virtual stock distribution
  • Order preparation and dispatch
  • Receiving and quality control administration

Knowledge and Skills:

  • SAP experience (advantageous)
  • Excellent Excel proficiency
  • Attention to detail and numeric accuracy
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Team collaboration skills
