About the Position

As an HR Administration Learner within the HR Department, you will assist with HR administrative duties and gain valuable workplace experience over a 12-month period.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Post job requisitions on Engage as per HR Manager’s instructions.
  • Update the recruitment portal and screen candidates.
  • Schedule interviews and send confirmations.
  • Conduct or request reference and employment checks.
  • Assist with pre-employment documentation.
  • Represent the company at recruitment events such as career fairs.

Onboarding

  • Assist with new hire onboarding and employee orientation.
  • Manage employee files and create personnel files for new hires.
  • Update files in line with compliance requirements.

Payroll Administration

  • Prepare weekly wages for approval.
  • Calculate timesheets, overtime, and allowances.
  • Update the temporary employee contract sheet.

Training & Development

  • Source accredited training suppliers.
  • Update internal training records and follow up on attendance.
  • Coordinate training sessions and ensure employee attendance.
  • Schedule training in employees’ calendars.

General HR Support

  • Assist with wellness initiatives.
  • Process SAP purchase orders.
  • Handle filing and general administration.
  • Support HR policy and procedure updates.


Your Profile

  • Diploma / Degree in HR or Business Administration, or currently studying toward one.
  • Computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • High attention to detail, honesty, and integrity.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Employment equity candidates will receive preference.
