We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Admin Coordinator to support the effective delivery of the iSimangaliso MPA Ecosystem-Based Adaptation (EbA) Project and related match projects.
The position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of project operations by coordinating activities, streamlining internal processes, and supporting financial, procurement, and logistical systems.
The incumbent will work closely with the Senior Project Manager to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones and efficient administrative, reporting, and compliance support.
The post is based in Durban and offered on a fixed-term contract for 19 months (January 2026 – July 2027).
Remuneration: Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination:
- Support day-to-day implementation by coordinating activities, tracking milestones, maintaining project calendars, and ensuring smooth internal operations.
Administration & Compliance:
- Maintain effective administrative and filing systems, ensure audit readiness, donor compliance, and accurate storage of Means of Verification (MOVs) and contracts.
Financial & Procurement Support:
- Assist with procurement and financial processes, including obtaining quotes, tracking expenditure, reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to WILDTRUST and donor requirements.
Logistics & Event Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate logistics for workshops, trainings, meetings, field visits, and donor engagements.
- Manage bookings, transport, accommodation, supplier liaison, and event logistics.
Team & Stakeholder Support:
- Facilitate communication within the team and with external partners, assist with staff onboarding, and provide administrative and coordination support to the Senior Project Manager.
Reporting & Knowledge Management:
- Consolidate information for donor and internal reports, assist with capturing lessons learned and success stories, and support knowledge-sharing and proposal development.

- Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office and coordination tools
- A valid driver’s licence is essential
