Job Summary
Rand Water Institute is looking for an Administration Assistant who will be responsible for providing administrative and coordination support within the Institute Support Services and across the organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Post-matric qualification in Administration or a related field
- 2–4 years of general office administration experience
Primary Duties
- Administer and coordinate activities between Institute Support Services, internally within RWI, and the wider organization.
- Assist in developing key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, take minutes, and distribute them accordingly.
- Handle communication with all stakeholders and third parties involved in Institute Support Services and RWI programmes.
- Coordinate programmes or projects within the Institute Support division.
- Prepare presentations and reports as required.
- Assist with project screening, prioritization, and scheduling in consultation with various RWI teams.
- Coordinate and update the operational risk register.
- Maintain and update the contract register.
- Coordinate and manage aspects related to Intellectual Property.

- Computer literacy: MS Office Suite
- General office and diary management
- Travel and meeting arrangements
- Record keeping and minute taking
- Accurate typing skills (with ability to handle interruptions)

Additional Information

Appointment to this position is subject to a maximum probation period of up to 12 months, with monthly evaluations before confirmation of permanent employment.
