Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Code 10 or Code 14 Driver’s License
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a driver
- Experience in towing trailers (2.5m wide)
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Good knowledge of local areas and roads
- Own reliable transport to and from work
Skills:
- Excellent customer service
- Good communication skills
- Strong driving skills
- Knowledge of local roads
- Basic computer literacy (including GPS usage)
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently collect and deliver staff and equipment to worksites
- Be punctual and on time for appointments
- Engage respectfully and sensitively with bereaved family members
- Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service
- Adhere to traffic laws and vehicle regulations
- Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained
- Load and offload equipment appropriately
- Monitor vehicle condition (fluids, tire pressure, etc.)
- Fuel vehicles and report maintenance needs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
